MENÚ

WHO WE ARE

We are Agrícola Himalaya, an agro-industrial company proudly from Valle del Cauca, and the producer of the tea and infusion brands Hindú and Bitaco. Our products are the result of a vision that combines tradition, innovation, and respect for sustainability, ensuring that every cup that reaches your hands reflects our dedication and passion for offering quality, wellness, flavor, and unique experiences.

Owners of the only tea crops in Colombia, located in the township of Bitaco, in the municipality of La Cumbre, Valle del Cauca, we have led the tea and infusions category in Colombia since 1960 with the Hindú brand, while also participating in the specialty premium teas segment with the Bitaco brand.

Our commitment to the environment is demonstrated through action and certification: We have been recognized as a CVC Green Business since 2016, meeting the rigorous criteria of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MADS), thanks to the continuous support of the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Valle del Cauca. Additionally, we reaffirm our leadership by being Carbon Neutral Certified by ICONTEC since 2022—a milestone that drives us toward continuous improvement and the proactive reduction of greenhouse gas emissions generated by our operations.

THE TEA CULTIVATION

Among the mist, the leaves of Colombian tea are born.
High in the Andean mountains of Bitaco, Valle del Cauca, between 1,700 and 2,050 meters above sea level, lies a mystical organic tea plantation, surrounded by the majestic San Antonio Cloud Forest, a stretch of 8,900 hectares that connects the municipalities of Cali, Yumbo, Dagua, and La Cumbre.

More than 50% of our territory is dedicated to the conservation of forests that provide valuable environmental services, while the rest is home to our organic tea crops, a generous plant deeply intertwined with the biodiversity that surrounds it.

Everything begins in the nursery, where the finest seeds are carefully germinated. For over eight months, they are nurtured with dedication before being transplanted to the tea garden. There, skilled harvesters handpick the most tender buds that will bring to life our green, white, and black teas, each with its own distinctive character and flavor.

After harvesting, the leaves undergo a meticulous artisanal process, sorting, withering, oxidation, drying, and rolling, preserving their natural purity and essence, and giving rise to the unique flavors that fill every cup.
